Wonder will never end as a man identified as Abolaji Kamaldeen hired assassins to kill his friend whom he borrowed money from but was unable to refund him.
The incident happened when Abolaji reportedly borrowed N200, 000 from his friend Ade Makanjuola, but on refund he was able to clear his debt, resulting to his arrangement with assassins to get rid of his friend, in order not to pay his debt
According to a report, it all took place at Ayanwale Street off Ijegun Road, Ikotun area of Lagos, where they both resided.
Abolaji was in desperate need of money to solve his problems and so approached his friend Ade to request for financial aid and promised to pay back at a certain date.
When it was time to pay up the money, Ade called his friend to remind him about his debt.
It all seemed, that Abolaji was unable to pay up as promised, and so decided to hire assassins to get rid of Ade, but unfortunately he got away untouched.
The police was later involved and the suspect was trailed and finally got caught, after interrogation, the police discovered Ade’s was the culprit and charged him to court.
At the Ejigbo Magistrates Court Abolaji was arraigned for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by hiring assassins to kill the complainant, on the count of breach of contract, he pleaded not guilty.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O Shomade, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum and he will be in prison custody pending when his able to meet the bail conditions.
The court has been adjourned till the 28th of October, 2019.
